Mary Cecelia Rascon (Nedes Pacheco), aged 81, was called to her eternal rest on January 16, 2024, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on November 23, 1942, she was a child of God, cherished daughter of Feliberto and Julia Pacheco, and a vessel of His unconditional love. Mary walked this earth with humility, embodying the virtues of kindness and devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord.
Her spirit is carried forward by her grateful children: Richard Girten (Deborah), Cindy Hayden (Jerry), and Douglas Aarness (Carolyn Serrano); her adored grandchildren; and the innocent smiles of her great-grandchildren, who will grow to know her through the stories of her love. Mary's passage into the Kingdom of Heaven follows the path trodden by her revered parents, her brothers Jimmy, Harold, Arthur, and Joe, her sisters Semo Sayah and Bertha, and her treasured husbands Delane Aarness and Gildardo "Lalo" Rascon.
In humble recognition of Mary, the family invites all to gather in celebration of her life. On Friday, February 2nd, 2024 a viewing will be held at Callahan-Edfast at 10am, services at 11am, followed by a burial at 12:30pm where Mary will be laid to eternal rest at Memorial Gardens. Luncheon to follow at the VFW
1404 Ute Ave, on the corner of 14th Street & Ute Avenue in Grand Junction, CO.
Mary's family would like to extend a sincere invitation to all of her family & friends to celebrate with a Mexican themed fiesta in honor and celebration of her beautiful life!
Under the compassionate care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Mary's family is shepherded through this time of reflection and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived.
