Marilyn Mae Timbrel

After graduating from high school in Grand Junction, Colorado, I entered Mrs. Murray's Beauty School in September of 1945 and graduated in May of 1946. I was married on September 29, 1946, to Ken Timbrel. My first son, Danny, was born on October 18,1948 and passed away on July 20, 1952, from cancer. We moved to Martinez, California in 1950 and my second son, David, was born on July 8, 1951. My first daughter, Judy, was born on January 13, 1955, and my second daughter, Susan, on October 5, 1957. We then moved to Tahoe City in 1958 and stayed through the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley. The following year, we moved back to Grand Junction and shortly after that moved to Crested Butte in the fall of 1961. Our next move was to Gunnison in 1962 where I managed the school cafeteria for 25 years. I retired from the school district in 1989 and moved back home to Grand Junction, where I plan to finish out my days. I have three wonderful grandsons, three great-grandsons, two great-great-grandsons.
