Survivors include three sons, Byron of Grand Junction, and Mark and Glenn, both of Denver; two daughters, Lisa Beth Brown of Denver and Patricia Tajilli of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Towns of Sheridan, Wyoming; one sister, Emma Gean Lilley of Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Margaret Strickland

Margaret (Peggy) Elaine Strickland, 84, of Clifton CO, passed away March 29, 2015, in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Margaret was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to Victor Monroe and Sarah Abigail Towns on May 25, 1930. She went to high school at Sheridan Central High School and graduated in 1942. She worked in banking out of high school.
On August 22, 1951, Margaret Towns and the boy across the street, Bill Strickland, were married. After moving throughout the west with seismograph crews. They settled in Denver, CO to raise their family. After raising their five children, the empty nesters retired first to Riverton, WY for ten years. Then to Clifton CO in 2003.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Victor Munro and mother, Sarah Abigail Towns; husband, Bill Strickland, and sisters, Betty Towns and Patricia Uzzell.
She is survived by her sister, Emma Jean Lilley; brother, Richard Towns; sons, Byron, Mark, and Glenn Strickland; daughters, Lisabeth Brown and Patricia Tajalli; grandchildren, Jeremiah Brown, Sara and Moses Tajalli and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial is being planned for a later date.
