Major William (Bill) H Hale Jr. Retired USMC age 86, passed on February 18th, 2020 in his home in Grand Junction, Colorado. He is survived by his daughter Marie, his son Billie, his step-daughter Tina, his grandsons, granddaughters and great-granddaughter.
He was born in Monroe, LA. After graduating high-school, Bill joined the Marine Corps where he served for 23 years obtaining the rank of Major. He was pilot through the Korean and Vietnam wars, receiving numerous accommodations and awards for the service to his country. Retiring from the Marine Corps, he realized his dream of living in the mountains and moved to Mesa, Colorado where he resided with his wife Earlene Hale. While they enjoyed the scenery and visits from the local wildlife, it was soon time to return to the valley in 2003. They made many friends and created great memories together. Bill will be sorely missed for his great sense of humor and stories
