Louis Ancel Hotchkiss passed away November 6, 2021 in Grand Junction, CO, he was 58.
Louis was born on November 16, 1962 in Grand Junction from the union of Louis Leon Hotchkiss and Berdeen Thumser. He spent his childhood in Grand Junction and attended Central High school where he played trumpet in the school band and later turned his talents over to playing high school baseball.
He met Chris Gardner during high school and they later married in October 16, 1982 in Grand Junction.
He was a retail clerk for Safeway and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing on the Grand Mesa and being in the outdoors, rock hunting, spending time with his family and playing catch with the kids and grandkids. He had a wide range interest in music from country western to rock n’ roll.
Louis leaves behind his wife of thirty-nine years, Chris Hotchkiss of Grand Junction, a son, Louis David (Leslie) Hotchkiss of Grand Junction, two daughters, Courtney (Kevin) Jarvis of Grand Junction and D’Ann Christine (Juan) Lara of Craig , CO, his mother, Berdeen Gay Hotchkiss of Clifton, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Gary Hotchkiss.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the orchard mesa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
