Lisa was born on October 28, 1961, to Alfred and Freda (Cotton) Ward in Grand Junction. She was a 1980 graduate of Central High School and received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mesa College in 1984. She married David L. Frisch on July 21, 1990, in Estes Park, CO.
She worked for School District 51 as a special education teacher’s aide.
Lisa enjoyed traveling, the great outdoors (especially Lake Powell, Flaming Gorge, and the Grand Mesa), animals, and her family, especially her two daughters.
Lisa is survived by her husband, David of Grand Junction; two daughters, Jenna of Fort Collins, CO, and Emalee of Grand Junction; her mother, Freda (Cotton) Ward of Grand Junction; and two sisters, Linda Ward and Donna (Ward) Brakhahn, both of Salt Lake City, UT.
Lis is preceded in death by her father, Alfred “Al” Ward, and sister, Debee Ward.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Her family has requested to honor Lisa’s wishes, please wear bright colored attire for the celebration of her life. Lisa’s favorite color was purple.
