Linda C Higgs

Linda Carol Higgs of Grand Junction, Colorado, age 69, passed away on November 11, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 20, 1955, in Farmington, New Mexico, to Jasper David Swisher and Virginia Marie Sartain. Linda spent her childhood in Rifle, Colorado, and graduated from Mesa State College in 1984.

Linda married Kenneth Higgs on August 27, 1971, in Appleton, Colorado. Throughout her life, Linda was devoted to her family, who loved her deeply. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse, dedicating 35 years of service to the Neuro Trauma department at St. Mary's Hospital. Her passion for helping others was evident in everything she did, and she was known for her kind, honest, and loving nature.

In addition to her professional life, Linda was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. She enjoyed hobbies like reading, gardening, and collecting rocks, which brought her peace and joy.

Linda will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her dedication to her work and family, and the warmth she brought to everyone she knew. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Callahan Edfast Mortuary.
