Leroy was born on July 12, 1947, to Melinda and Librado Martinez in Leadville Colorado. He graduated from Lake County High School and shortly after he enlisted in the United States Army from 1968 to 1974. While serving our country Leroy received various honors and medals. After his discharge, Leroy had various occupations including Miner, US Postal employee and Landscaper.
He is survived by his daughter Ardell: Sisters: Jayne Rael of Denver: Donna Talbert of Salida: Sadie Abeyta of Grand Junction: Brothers: Ted Martinez of Pueblo and Henry Martinez of Denver and many loved ones.
Leroy was proceeded in death by many of those who loved him.

A service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 @ 10:00 am St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Burial to take place at Veterans memorial Cemetery @1:00 pm.
There will be a reception held immediately following the burial back at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
Arrangements under the direction of Martin Mortuary, Grand Junction, CO.
