Leona “Pat” (Blackwell) Payne was born in Gunnison, CO January 9, 1935. And passed away February 11, 2018. She was born and raised in Colorado and loved her state immensely.
She leaves behind four children Terry, Gene, Darrell, and Melanie.
Preceding her in death are two daughters, Karen Moore and Joy Merritt. And her husband of 45 years, David Payne.
Pat enjoyed many things. Her love for stray kitties brought so much joy to her. She would bring them in and give them a home to call their own.
She enjoyed genealogy, gardening and being on a tropical beach. Her greatest love was her family from all over the US whom she found through her genealogy research.
Her beloved Colorado is where she will rest in peace. Graveside services will be March 10, 2018 2:00PM at Orchard Mesa Cemetery Masonic Section 2.
