Lars A Mason

Lars Albert Mason, 68, of Molina, passed away July 29, 2016 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Lars was born on September 22, 1947 in Springville, Utah to Leo and Helen Mason. Lars graduated from Springville High School. He worked as an electrician for the Department of Defense. Lars had three children with Shonie Thompson, who he later divorced, but remained friends with. After retiring from Fitzsimons Army Medical Hospital he moved to Grand Junction to be closer to his children. Lars spent his free time adventuring the world, where he found a love of diving in the Red Sea and photography. Lars’s vast knowledge, largely attributed to his love of reading – particularly Science Fiction.

Lars is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Ray, and Brother Steve. Lars is survived by his children Bob Mason (Jill), Todd Mason (Mariah), and Rachel Bieser (Mike), brothers Ron of Payson, Utah, and Rick of Salem, Utah & one sister, Pat Collings of Springville, Utah, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
