Kristy Lynn Delaney

Kristy was born on October 5th, 1982 in Norwood, CO, to Rick Kettle, and Rene Kinyon. She passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2025; surrounded in love with her husband Shaun DeLaney, her mother Rene Kinyon, grandmother Pat Tucker, and aunt Kelly Danz at her side.

Kristy is survived by her husband Shaun, children Uriah and Zoey DeLaney, mother Rene Kinyon, sister Meegan Walker, grandmother Pat Tucker, mother-in-law Juanita Williams, brother-in-laws Dustin DeLaney and William Beeching, father-in-law Brad Beeching as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that she considered family. Kristy is preceded in death by her father, Rick, grandparents, great grandparents, and uncles.

During her childhood years, Kristy lived in Nucla, Longmont, Lyons, Estes Park, and Clifton, CO., where she met her soulmate and husband, Shaun. After they were married in 2000, she joined Shaun in Stuttgart, Germany; until his tour of duty was completed; they then returned to Grand Junction, CO.

If one were to ask Kristy what she felt were her best moments and greatest achievements would be; her reply would be her marriage to Shaun and the birth of her children, Uriah and Zoey. Kristy had a fierce sense of protectiveness over her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and best friend. She had an amazing sense of humor, was very thoughtful of those that she interacted with and a wonderful friend. Kristy enjoyed attending Uriah's and Zoey's school and recreational activities, as well as attending holiday gatherings with her family. She also had a love of all things outdoors that began in childhood that continued throughout adulthood.

Kristy brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and happiness to those around her and will be missed beyond measure in the days, weeks, and years to come. There will be many firsts without her presence beside her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in those that she has left behind especially with Shaun, Uriah and Zoey as well as in her family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Rd, Grand Junction, CO. 81505 April 19, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm
