Kathleen was born on August 3, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Albert and Barbara (Costello) Burns. She had two brothers, Allen and Bob. She married Leonard Wayne Gray in Rifle, Colorado, at the age of 17. They later divorced.
Kathleen attended beauty school at the Academy of Beauty Culture in Grand Junction. She later became an instructor at Life Academy and traveled to Las Vegas for seminars. She was the proud owner of three salons in Grand Junction, including the Chip 'N' Nails Salon. She officiated weddings and was invited to work with police to assist with solving cases. She loved dancing and sports with the kids, and movie nights. Most of all she loved time with her family, including her late-night calls with her Aunt Linda.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, Justin Gray and Nathan Gray; daughter, Echo Gray-Rocha; 10 grandchildren, Angel, Taylor, Jesse, Jadah-len, Ella, Camia, Danaka, Max, Landin, and Cody, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Jalan, Nolan, Braelynn, and Ella; and her Pomeranian companion, Nala. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Burns and Barbara Dunning; brothers, Allen Burns and Bob Burns; and her son, Cody Gray.
