Joanna (Jo) was born in Texarkana, AR, to Scott and Verona Whitlock, on November 11, 1945. She joined family and friends in her heavenly home on January 1, 2024, while in a Long Term Care Facility in Grand Junction, CO.
Following her high school graduation, Jo attended Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, TN, making life-long friends there. She worked for Southern Clinic in Texarkana for approximately 40 years. After a cancer diagnosis and treatment, she retired from Southern Clinic. Jo moved to St. Louis, MO in 2009 and lived with her sister, Mary, and family until 2016 when the family relocated to Grand Junction, CO.
Jo is survived by her sister and several nieces and nephews.
Jo was a kind, compassionate, generous, Christian, making friends all along her way, including her LTC facility. A memorial service will be held in Texarkana, AR in late May.
