Janis Files Miller passed away at the Larchwood Inn on September 1, 2010. She was 75 years old. Janis was born on July 8, 1935 to Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Files in Grand Junction. She spent her childhood, school years and most all of her life in Grand Junction. She also resided in Glade Park. Janis enjoyed cross-stitch, and was an avid reader. She loved all things that were Irish. She is survived by two sons, Larry and Paul Miller, both of Grand Junction; daughter, Annette Keen of Portland, OR; Sandra Connors of Carbondale, CO, and Kay Garihan of Wasilla, AK; sister, Joanne Bell of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private family service is being planned. Memorial donations may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, or to Rocky Mountain PBS.
