Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Martinez and Rich Morales, both of Fruita; and a daughter, Julie Morales of Fruita.

Favian Martinez
January 15, 1924 - July 14, 2016
Favian Martinez of Fruita, CO passed away July 14, 2016 in his home, He was 92.
He was born to Max Martinez and Epifania Gallegos in Loma, CO. He married Evelyn Martinez on February 12, 1946 in Idaho.
Favian lived in Fruita until he joined the United States Navy. He served 30 years retiring as a Chief Petty Officer (CPO).
He and his wife settled in San Leandro, CA. In 2002 he returned to his home town of Fruita Co to be close to his daughter and grandchildren.
He and his wife traveled to many locations throughout the world as he served his country during WWII. They were married 66 years. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2012.
He loved gardening, crossword puzzles, fishing, camping, dancing with his beautiful wife and most of all he loved being a grandfather to his four grandsons; Anthony, Louis, Lorenzo and Richie Morales.
He is survived by son, Anthony Martinez and daughter, Julie (Rich) Morales. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20 at Callhan-Edfast Mortuary and will conclude at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
