Ernesto Ramon Moreno, 64, passed away at his home on October 26, 2018. He was born to Ernesto and Leticia Moreno on June 27, 1954. He spent his childhood in Guachachi, Chihuahua, Mexico, but has been in Grand Junction for over 40 years.
Ramon was a Ditch Rider for Grand Valley Water Users Association for 20 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman. The outdoors were like his second home. He had a passion for gardening and doing yard work. Ramon was a fisherman and rancher, but was also very well-known for his beautifully decorated pieces of gourd art.
Ramon was very social, and was easy to befriend and get along with. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
Ramon loved his family and was always dependable for anything. He had a ginormous heart and an easy-going personality. The most notable quality about him was his work ethic and how much effort and determination he put into everything he did. He was, and always will be, one spectacular man. He will be missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Moreno of Grand Junction; mother, Leticia Loera of Juarez, Mexico; daughter, Debbie Vigil of Grand Junction; brothers, Homero Moreno and Alfonso Moreno, both of Juarez, Mexico; sisters, Cruzelena Moreno and Ernestina Moreno, both of Juarez, Mexico; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Moreno.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2018, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary from 4-7PM, with a Rosary at 6PM. Memorial service will be at 10AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
