She grew up in Pomona, KS where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Glen Dennis. They were married for 78 years this month.
Betty worked for District 51 as a Librarian; Department of Energy / Bendix Field Engineering as a Library Tech and Betty also was the owner of Valley Office Supply.
Betty belonged to numerous organizations, Catholic Daughters of America; Grand Junction Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Tiara Ladies Golf Club where she achieved 3 Holes in One over the age of 70!
Betty is survived by her husband Glen Dennis; daughters Denise Bagg (husband David Bagg) of Grand Junction, CO; Teresa Kareus (husband David Kareus) also of Grand Junction, CO; sister Wanda Lou Rose of Denton, TX and sister-in-law Leila Habiger of Topeka, KS.
Betty also leaves behind grandchildren, Michael Lee Dennis Jr. of Loveland, CO; John Wallace (wife Rebecca of Denver, CO; Jessica Wallace (husband Vince Smith) of Pensacola, FL; Joanie Bagg of Grand Junction, CO; Mikka Caballero (husband Harley Caballero) of Grand Junction, CO and Heath Dennis (wife Ashley) of Grand Junction, CO.
She was loved by her many great grandchildren as well as her great-great granddaughter.
Betty was preceded in death by her son Michael Lee Dennis; her brothers Anthony Habiger and John Habiger and her sister Annabelle Habiger of Pomona, KS.
Betty and Glen had 78 years of love and adventures that included golf, water skiing, trail and road motorcycling, kayaking, camping and hiking.
