Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at New Elmwood Cemetery.
He was the owner and operator of a sprinkler company.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Edward Jr. and Floyd, both of Grand Junction; three daughters, Frances Orman, Carmel Wilson and Kathy Marcoux, all of Grand Junction; one brother, James of Loma; one sister, Beatrice Archuleta of Grand Junction; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Edward Benjamin Bernal, 78, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away peacefully on August 4, 2016, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Eddie was born on July 21, 1938, in Fruita, CO to Joseph C. and Placida (Lucero) Bernal.
He graduated from Fruita Union High School in 1956. He farmed with his dad and brother, Jim, for many years on their family farm. After leaving the farm, Eddie owned and operated Bernal Construction and subsequently worked at the Resource Center in Grand Junction, CO. Together, Eddie and Joan owned and operated E&J Sprinklers until his retirement in 2005.
On July 30, 1988, he married Joan Slocum.
Eddie loved his family, friends and his pets. He was also an avid Bronco fan and was very patriotic.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Ryan Bernal.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Joan; brother, James Bernal; sister, Beatrice Archuleta and his sister-in-law, Sheryl Wilson. He is also survived by his five children, Frances (Jerry) Orman, Ed (Teresa) Bernal Jr, Floyd Bernal, Carmel (Greg) Wilson and Kathy (Michael) Marcoux; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita, CO. Burial will be at New Elmwood Cemetery.
