Noah Dwayne Dodd, 75, passed away on September 24, 2021 at HopeWest Hospice. He was born to Doris and Melvin Dodd on February 8, 1946 in in Portales, NM. He spent his childhood in Hesperia, CA and graduated from Victor Valley High School. He formerly lived in MT for a short time and more recently in Mexico.
Dwayne served in the Air Force in 1964 and was stationed in Germany. He was retired from Modern Classic Motor Inc, which he started in 1979. He also had worked as a mobile home salesman, an owner of American Speed Reading Academy, and a manager of Household Finance. He was a member of United Methodist Church, and had many hobbies, including golfing; bowling; playing pool and cards; singing karaoke; and hanging out with friends (who called him “Dobbers”).
Dwayne leaves behind his son, Daniel Dodd of Coeur d’Alene, ID; daughters, Trish (Brett) Bobbitt of Grand Junction, CO and Michele (Bob) Chapman of Coeur d’Alene, ID; brother, Bill (Barb) Dodd of Apache Junction, AZ; sisters, Diane (Pat) Meyer and Brenda Reiser both of Grand Junction, CO; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Melvin Dodd; a brother, Jerry Dodd, and a son, David Dodd.
A visitation will be held on October 1, 2021 from 9 to 10 AM at Callahan Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, CO with a funeral services at 10:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, CO. Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice in his name.
