Dennis James Tobin
April 24, 1942 - March 12, 2014
Dennis was born in Gettysburg, South Dakota to Thomas F. Tobin and Mable Clute Tobin.
He grew up playing all the sports he could and especially loved baseball. In the summers from the age of 12, he worked in the fields operating combines in South and North Dakota as well as Nebraska.
Dennis married Linda M. Howell July 4, 1981. Together they lived in Grand Junction, Nevada, and California where Dennis worked as a mine inspector and Special Investigation and Litigator for the Federal Government.
Dennis retired in 2002, and later became the Administrator for the Moose Lodge. Dennis served many roles in the Moose organization, including past Colorado Moose Association President, Deputy Regional Manager, and Deputy Supreme Governor of Colorado, where he made many good friends throughout the state.
Dennis loved to fish, play pool and almost never missed a Juco game.
Dennis was well loved and looked up to by his family and peers. He was known for his ability to fix almost anything. He was the go to guy when you had a problem and was so dependable that heaven is going to love him. He had a special goofy smile and twinkle in his eyes just for his grandchildren. His famous duck quack entertained several generations of children. They are going to miss his Easter egg hunts and all the Christmas parties that he enjoyed putting on for the kids.
He never missed a chance to tell his children how proud he was of them. They are proud to be his children and wish they had more time to tell him again and again, but time was cut short.
Dennis will be missed dearly by his family and will remain in their hearts always.
