David was born on July 28, 1954 in Bakersfield, California, to Coy and Wanda (Horn) Snapp. He spent his childhood in Shafter, California, and graduated from Shafter High School. David started work as a truck driver in 1973, and did that until 1978 when he went to work for Unocal, where he was employed until 1992. On April 17, 1981, David married Tina Evans in Rawlins, Wyoming. In 1983, they moved to Fruita, Colorado, where they have resided for the last 39 years. In 1985, they opened Snap Photo in Grand Junction, and they were the owners until 2020. In his free time, David enjoyed dirt bike riding, farming his 10 acres, and traveling to explore new places with Tina. But most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.
David is survived by his wife, Tina, of Fruita; daughter, Amy (Steve) Williams, and their children, Kaelin, Merrick, and Jasmine, of Santee, California; stepson, Joshua Cook, and his children, Brandon and Violet, of Grand Junction; brother, Richard (Cindy) Snapp of Henderson, Nevada; and sister, Terry (Dave) Gilmore of Sanger, California. His parents, Coy Snapp and Wanda (Horn) Meyer; and his uncle, Wayne Horn, precede David in death.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
