Dale Asa Weldon

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.

He was a rancher.

Survivors include two sons, Bart of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lew of Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Asa Dale Weldon, aka Dale Weldon, was born in Fruita, Colorado, March 07, 1923, to Floyd and Lottie (Young) Weldon.

He attended Loma and Fruita schools. He graduated in 1942 and served in the Army Signal Corps during WWII, serving one year in Korea.

He was a livestock rancher all his life, spending many years in the Vernal, Utah area.

He married Jayne Snook in 1944 and they had one son, Bart Weldon (Ruth) of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

They divorced and he married Dorothy Virden of McCoy, Colorado. They had one son, Lew Weldon (Renae) and two grandchildren from Lew. Dorothy passed away in 1991.
