Born in Longmont, Colorado to Verne and Joanne Hartman, Cynthia lived a non-traditional life with loving laughter and charm. She graduated from Collbran High School and Colorado Mesa University with degrees in welding and photography. Cynthia went on to become nationally certified welder, specializing in boilers and pressure vessels as well as taught welding at the Collbran Job Corps. She grew her skills through plant operations and safety programs for Unocal, the State of Nevada and Williams Energy. Cynthia was also an EMT in Parachute, rode rodeo bull and enjoyed hunting and fishing. She trained a certified therapy dog, Sugar, to help others at Mind Springs Mental Health Hospital and made many friends. Volunteering was important to her. A Broncos fan to the end. Cynthia treasured her friends, especially the Birthday Breakfast Club and enjoyed the fellowship she found at Clifton Christian Church as well as Bible Trivia. Cynthia passed suddenly of sepsis. She was a devoted daughter and is survived by many friends, cousins and her sister, Linda Spencer. Donations to Roice-Hurst, Wreaths Across America or your favorite charity would be a lovely way to honor her spirit.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.callahan-edfast.com for the Hartman family.
