Cathy Garcia, age 70, passed away on December 20th, 2021 after a long illness. She is survived by: her daughter Angelica; her grandchildren Neveah, Santo, Illiana; her sisters Cyndi, Connie; her nephews Drew, Greg and Eric; and her nieces Trista, Antonia, Alura and Matice. She is preceded in death by: her father Tony; her mother Angie; and her brothers Tommy, Charles and Carl.
Cathy was born in Grand Junction and spent her life here. She worked for 25 years for St. Mary’s Hospital business office until her retirement in 2002.
Cathy had a kind, gentle spirit and was loved by all in her large extended family, as well as by her many friends. She was generous to a fault, and willing to give all she had to others. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews all loved her like their second mother. Cathy loved to crochet and many family members have one of her special afghans to remember her by.
