Brian Brantley was born in Denver, Colorado to Don and Carol Brantley. He grew up on the beautiful Eastern slope of Colorado with his four siblings and four foster siblings. In the fall of 1988, he met the love of his life, Cindy. They fell in love and got married in September of 1989. In 1991, Brian and Cindy moved to Wilmington Island, Georgia. They raised five children of their own on the southern coast, and one more joined the clan after the family moved back to Colorado. Brian did what he put his mind to wholeheartedly and with passion. He demonstrated this in his marriage to Cindy, his family, his work, his hobbies and his beliefs.
His favorite pastimes growing up were camping and waterskiing, and he passed that joy on to his kids and many others. He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his family. He had a love for God's creation: the mountains, the oceans, the forests, streams, and rivers, and he spent his life living and adventuring in those places. He enjoyed reading western and political novels, hunting, shooting, selling BG, serving at a Christian retreat called “Tres Dias”, watching movies and shows with his family in the evening, and working on his farm.
Brian left behind a legacy of friends and family: his wife Cindy; his children, Benjamin, Joshua (Emily), Philip (Carissa), Breanna, Jonathan, and Caleb; his grandchildren, Liam and Elise, and one grandchild on the way; his Mother and Father, Don and Carol; his siblings Stan, Jeff (Robin), Michelle (Dan); many nieces and nephews, and a great many close friends. These people can attest to the impact he had on this world, and what a strong person and steadfast man of God he was. He will be greatly missed here on Earth. His Celebration of Life will be held at Canyon View Vineyard Chapel, on Tuesday, April 18th at 4pm.
