Betty L. Lewis

Betty was born on January 19th, 1927 Mount Carmel, Illinois to John and Pauline Yarbor. She had fond memories of growing up on the Wabash River. She had 8 brothers and sisters; four of which precede her in death.

Betty married Harold Lewis on October 12, 1946. They had four children; Eddie, Wanda, Melvin, and Linda. Betty spent most of her married life in the Colorado towns of Mancos, Silverton, and Rico. She moved to the Grand Valley in the early 80’s where she and her husband would live out the rest of their days.

In addition to her children, Betty is survived by 9 grandchildren: Karrie, Suwanda, Bryan, Mike, John, Wade, Kenny Lee, Justin, and Robin. 15 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

A visitation is being held from 10AM to 10:45AM at Martin Mortuary in Grand Junction, Colorado on Monday, January 20,th 2014. The funeral service will follow at 11AM. Graveside services will take place the following day at 1PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mancos, Colorado.
