She was a service repair clerk.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Boortz of Denver and Wynell Webster of Clifton; one sister, Irene Witmer of Leadville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Betty Fleming
October 7, 1936 - April 3, 2016
Betty Fleming was called to Heaven on April 3, 2016, at HopeWest. She was 79.
Betty was born in Jackson, CA on October 7, 1936, to Joseph Sterley and Bertha (Schaefer) Brandt. After spending most of her life in Leadville she moved to Grand Junction in 1991.
Betty is survived by her sister, Irene (Jim) of Leadville, CO; daughters, Wanda (Bill) Boortz of Denver, CO, and Wynell Webster of Clifton, CO; grandchildren, Barett (Hannah) Webster, Jerica (Brendan) Ritchie, Trent Harris, Noah Sanchez, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Webster.
When her children were young, Betty wore out three sewing machines making kids clothes, Barbie doll clothes, and her sister's wedding dress. As an adult she was active in Girl Scouts, as a leader and a Neighborhood Chairman, as well as Sunday school and vacation bible school. She collected Betty Boop memorabilia, loved scrapbooking and card making, and was an avid mystery reader.
Betty worked as a bookkeeper, tax preparer at H& R Block, and a service repair clerk in both Leadville and Grand Junction.
After retiring Betty spent 12 years as a Senior Companion volunteer with special care for the visually impaired. Many hours were spent at her grandsons' sporting events as well as her granddaughter's dance recitals. At home she loved to watch the Colorado Rockies.
Betty was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and GG (great-grandmother).
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2nd at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 3133 F Road in Grand Junction, CO. If attending, please wear purple!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Senior Companion program or HopeWest. Cremains will be buried in Leadville at a later date.
