Arnold was born in Price, Utah to Tiofilo and Ruth Medina. He spent most of his childhood in the mountains of Meeker, Colorado on a sheep camp with his grandfather, Joe Mondragon. During his teenage years he spent time in Ogden City, Utah and Salt lake City, Utah before settling in Grand Junction, Colorado where he met and married Alva M. Valdez and together they had three children.
Arnold was an avid sportsman having a love for fishing and hunting. He loved music, playing his drums, singing and dancing. He always lived life to the fullest and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Tony (Michelle) Medina of Grand Junction, Colorado, Octavia (Tim) Garcia of Salt lake City Utah, Nikole Lopez of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Santos (Daylene) Medina of Greely, Colorado. Sisters Darlene Medina of Denver, Colorado, Evelyn Martinez of Grand Junction, Leora Medina of Grand Junction, one brother Leo Medina of Grand Junction, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alva Valdez Medina, parents Tiofilo Medina and Ruth Glenn, brother Virgil Medina and son Arnold Angelo Medina.
A public viewing will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00pm. A Catholic mass will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday September 25, 2021 at 10:00am
A barbeque will be held at Riverside Park on Saturday September 25, 2021 at 1:00pm. Guests are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert.
