She was the oldest of the family and only daughter.
Peppy has three brothers, Bill, Danny and Mike and their family still reside in New Jersey. Peppy loved her family and she was the key in keeping her brothers in unison.
Peppy’s personality reflected from a young age in the way she interacted with others. Always willing to extend an olive branch, signifying peace.
Peppy was married to Wally Dallenbach Sr. on October 22, 1960. This year they would be celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary (hopefully she left her secret behind)
She and Wally Sr. had three children; Wally Jr, Colleen and Paul.
In 1974 with sadness, Peppy and her family left New Jersey to reside in Basalt, Colorado.
In addition to Peppy’s busy schedule as a wife and mother, she was also the biggest supporter and fan of her husband Wally Sr.’s career as a race car driver. After Wally Sr. retired, he became Chief Stewart of Cart and Peppy worked as assistant Registrar.
She travelled all over the United States and also internationally. She was the upholder of the family and a super Nana (grandma) to her five grandchildren; Jake, Wyatt, Kate, Jared and Dillon.
Peppy’s nurturing character was not only displayed at her home but her kindness, compassion, loving and caring characteristics went way beyond her home to everyone who came in contact with her.
She also contributed to her community and church family.
Peppy took pleasure in cooking. If you haven’t tasted her homemade pasta sauce, you have missed out!
She enjoyed life on earth and brought excitement to a party or gathering with her delicious meals and her presence. (can’t forget her dance moves ,on the table)
In 19 75 Peppy accepted Jesus as her Savior. The greatest joy of her life, knowing she had a relationship with her Maker. She wanted everyone to have that relationship too. She loved the Lord.
In 2013 Peppy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, yet that didn’t slow Peppy down, there was work to be done and she did not want to leave behind an unfinished task. She kept on laboring, trusting God and leaning not on her own understanding.
In 2020 the illness started developing faster.
In 2021, she and Wally Sr. moved to Grand Junction Colorado for the winter and decided to reside there because of their health conditions.
In the past year, Peppy’s condition worsened.
She spent a few months at a facility but in her last stages, the family decided to take her home to be closer to Wally Sr.
Peppy enjoyed her haven of rest on the ranch in Basalt.
On July 2, 2023 at the age of 83 years, we know Peppy is in the Heaven of Eternal Rest, enjoying and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. (Maybe just cooking something delicious, because she can’t be still)
