Jack was born on March 24, 1942 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to his parents Hebert and Mary Zielsdorf.
He had 4 bothers, Bruce, Randy, Mark, and Tom. He graduated from High line High School in Burien, Washington where he met his future wife, Sharon Lee Janet. They were married in 1962. Both working and in 1967 God blessed them with a son, John Cody Zielsdorf. In 1969 they were blessed again with their daughter, Crystal Lee Zielsdorf.
Out of High School Jack began a 4 year apprenticeship at the Puget Sound Ship Yard, as a Steamfitter. He always wanted to be a lawyer. So then he went to Everett Junior College and some University of Washington night classes. After John was born Jack had to get a job so he returned to Local 32 and got a job with Botting Mechanical as a Steam Fitter. His last job was working on Bill Gates house on Lake Union, Seattle, Washington.
He had to retire at age 55 because of Asbestosis which he got while working on ships during his apprenticeship.
His primary goal was to always be a follower of Jesus Christ. His words to men in Bible Study Classes was for them to read their "Letter from Home [Bible]" from Johnny Cash's song "No Letter from Home."
Jack was a constant hard worker on whatever he was doing, The 50 years he worked, he only took 2 weeks vacation each year. He as always teaching our family about the God of the Bible.
We made the best of our 2 week vacations going to State Parks to hike, 01 fishing, boating, beach combing, rock hounding, metal detecting and old cars. We always took lots of pictures and were so thankful for the 61 years our family were together.
