Mr. Vernon 'Butch' Earl Smith Jr.

SMITH, Vernon E., Jr. ‘Butch’ – age 61, of Flint, went home to be with the Lord, April 20, 2011 at home. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 1PM at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI with Pastor Michael Horne officiating. Burial follows at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation Saturday 3-8 PM. Vernon was born April 24, 1949 in Flint, MI. Butch retired from General Motors. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; children, Xylena Redmond, Terina Kelley, Vernon (Cathy) Smith III, and Joseph and Roy Causley; Father, Vernon E. Smith, Sr.; Step-father, Walter Hartley; grandchildren, Kasandra, Donald, Randy, Michael and Vernon IV; Siblings, Stuart (Cindy) Shaw, Karrie Kuhl, Desi (James) Harrison, Walt Hartley, Charlie Hartley and Delbert (Sabrina) Smith; Step-sisters, Cheryl, Penny and many loving family and friends. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Jo Hartley and step-mother, Mary Smith. Contributions to Guiding Light Tabernacle or the family.
