Thomas Duane Douglass, Sr., age 79, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Bruce Garner officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thomas was born December 23, 1939 in Flint, MI to parents Homer and Bernice (Herfurth) Douglass. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Buick Motors for 33 years. Thomas loved woodworking, fishing, gardening, going to the casino and was an avid collector. He was a member of Local 599. Survived by children: Diana (Willie) Young of Tennessee, Jackie (Paul) Burback of Saginaw, Brenda (Dale) Brown of Grand Blanc, Shelly Eldridge of Davison, Jason (Charity) Douglass of Adrian; daughter-in-law, Carol Douglass of Clio; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Nathan) Tucker; brothers: James (Polly) Douglass, Charles (Susan) Douglass, Daniel (Maurine) Douglass; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives; very special friends Kim and Todd Stanley.
