Nancy Jean Siegel

SIEGEL, NANCY JEAN age 84, died Sunday, November 4, 2019 at the Caretel Inns of Linden. A Service of Remembrance will be held 5:00 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive friends at 3:30 P.M. Thursday until the time of services, at the Funeral Home. A memorial  dinner will follow the service.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Crim Fitness Foundation/Community Education.  Mrs. Siegel  was born January 22, 1935 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of Arthur and Betty (Himmelhoch) Weiss. In 1956, she was united in marriage to Martin F. Siegel. She graduated from Flint Central High School, attended  the University of Michigan and worked in the Flint Community Schools for nearly 30 years. Surviving are three children Mark Siegel and partner Lorrie Callis, Ellyn and Jack Backstrom, Amy Gottlieb; two grandchildren Sam and Ben Gottlieb; nephew Sandy and wife Jamie Ring; nieces Jan and husband Alex Crawford, Pam and husband Jason Serwa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Siegel; son-in-law Jonathan Gottlieb and brother Robert Weiss and his wife Vickie. Condolences may be left on-line at www.brownfh.com
