Arnould, Mary Sue (Diamond) age 89, of Flushing died at home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 23rd, 2022. Mary was born August 7th, 1933, to E. Harvey Diamond and Vernieta E. (Davis) Diamond. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1951. Mary was a long-time member of the Court Street United Methodist Church. She married the love of her life, John Antony Arnould, October 11th, 1954. They had three beloved children.
Surviving are her children: Mary (Steve) Baer of Clarkston, John E. (Connie) Arnould of Flushing, and Rebecca (Tom) Wickham of Flint; grandchildren: Shannon (Brian) Warzecha, Diana (Sean) Galloway, Eric Baer and Fiancée’ Amy, Melissa (Gabe) Reddoch, John T. (Lindsey) Arnould, Ian, and Alex Wickham; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John A. Arnould and sister, Elizabeth Knox.
Mary had a long and fulfilling career employed by Genesee County where she worked for Friend of the Court until the time of her retirement. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star of Michigan for many years where she served as Worthy Matron on many different occasions, as well as a Grand Chapter Officer and Representative. Mary loved spending time at her summer home in Bay View, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, and Williamsburg, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and many loved ones.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 10:30am-11:30am. The funeral service will follow on Thursday at 11:30am at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Officiating the service will be Rev., Dr. Jana Lynn Almeida. The burial will take place directly following at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital in memory of Mary.
