I have only met Martin a couple of times.  I wish now that I had thanked  him for giving me the sweetest, and most thoughtful  daughter in-law (Alicia Handlin) I could have ever hoped for. I wish I could be there to comfort Alicia and Justin in their time of loss. My heart goes out to all of you. I am praying that the Lord brings comfort and peace to the entire family during  this unexpected time of loss.

Janine, Alicia, Olivia, I am so sorry for your loss. Although it has been many years since we've seen each other, your family has always been in my heart. We were all part of the Neithercut crew as parents,  volunteers, and scouting. 
Always a pleasure to run into Martin at BK from time to time. So nice to be greeted with a warm smile of recognition.
My prayers are with you as you learn to continue on in this life, with him on the other side waiting patiently for your chance to reunite. 

Gary and my brother Bruce were best friends for life.  Our families were best friends in a time when you didn't need to call ahead...you just showed up at each other's home for a "cup of coffee".  The adults smoked cigarettes and drank instant coffee....the kids played outdoors till the street lights came on.  It was a magical time.  Godspeed, Marty...save a place at the table...

ALTHOUGH I MET HIM ONCE OR TWICE, HE WAS ALWAYS SO  POLITE AND KIND. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE HAYDEN FAMILY.

Many, many fond memories with Marty and the Hayden family. 

Marty was a friend of my husband Andy since second grade. I heard many funny stories of them growing up. They also lived together from time to time.
  When we lived in a duplex Marty and his roommate Bruce Ambler lived below us for a time and it was wonderful having them there.
  Marty was so excited to have us meet his future wife Janine when he brought her over. We also were glad for him as he was looking for his soul mate for a while. 
  I will miss his wonderful sense of humor so much. We drifted apart over the years but thinking of him will always bring a smile to my face. 

I just want to say that this one hit me hard....you didn't even know that anything was going on, Martin was always positive....we always talked about him playin his guitar and how he goes out of town on trips to see his children.....He always said " Toni you are doing a great Job" i was always glad to work with him especially in training....it was a pleasure working with him for 6 yrs....Martin u will be truly missed!!!!! I send my condolences to the family and may His soul Rests In Love!!!!!!

I haven’t seen Marty in over 40 years but I remember him like it was yesterday. He was kind, gentle and caring. A good friend to me and my girls. Rest In Peace dear friend 🙏🏼

Martin was a great man. Even though he was my manager, he knew how to create bonds with people. He always had so many stories about his life, but I think one of his most talked about subjects were about his guitar and his family. Every time he started talking, I would always listen in fascination like"wow, this man has lived a wonderful life." I'm gonna miss you Martin💔 Rest Peacefully.

I can't even begin to say how much you meant to me dear brother. Growing up you were my mentor, you had taught me so much. I'm sure I was the little brother tag along on many adventures that you may not have wanted me on, but you always let me hang with you and the bigger boys. Many good times and a few times not so good, but I was always happy to tag along. I'll miss you every day of my remaining life. You were a good brother to me. And when my time comes to pass through the gates to Heaven, you'll be just inside ready to tackle me for one more brotherly brawl.

In general I just want to point out the one consistent thing about Marty was his ability to be your friend.  No matter who you were or what walk of life, he always made you feel important. Special.  Like  you mattered to him the most.


Martin was a good man and a great friend.  I will never forget the many long hard worked shifts i worked along side him. He will be forever remembered. My condolences to his family.
