Marina Brand

Marina Brand (Chiunti), passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the age of 80, surrounded by family. Marina was born on August 26, 1943 to the late Manuel and Maria Chiunti. She graduated from Sexton High School and kept close ties with all her friends and classmates in the greater Lansing area. Marina was a spirited adventurer who loved to travel. Her beloved occupation in the travel industry allowed her to experience the world. Her ability to craft unforgettable travel experiences earned her a reputation as a welcoming friend and gained her countless friends. In her free time, she also enjoyed reading and painting. Marina had an elegant, sophisticated, and chic style in all areas of her being. Marina was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Marina lived a life full of adventure and love and her spirit will continue to inspire us all to never stop exploring.

Marina is survived by her son, Mick Aldo (Jill) Nylander; grandchildren Alexandria, Maxwell, and Jenavieve; and her siblings Manuel (Suzanne) Chiunti and Hector (Janet) Chiunti and a host of friends and relatives who will remember her for her wisdom and zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiration to her family and friends and will be dearly missed .She was preceded in death by her husband Louis J. Brand.

Per Marina's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of Marina's life will be held at later date.
