Margaret T. Erickson

Margaret T. Erickson, age 89, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Margaret was born February 19, 1932 in Shooks, Minnesota to the late Joseph and Opal Neft. Margaret married the love of her life, Marvin D. Erickson on October 18, 1952 in Shooks, Minnesota. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a Secular Franciscan. She was sacristan at Holy Family Church for many years. She was a former church choir member and volunteered in many ways at Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Rita's Guild, the 55 & Over Club and the Red Hat Society. Margaret retired from the Food Service Department at Grand Blanc Schools. She enjoyed gardening, making quilts, watching the birds and was an excellent baker. But most of all she cherished every moment spent with her family. She was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Theresa Blamer, Kathleen (Greg) Richardson, Geraldine (John) Daly, John (Sharyl) Erickson, Thomas Erickson, William (Tara) Erickson, Peter (Cheryl) Erickson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn (Rod) Leach, Leona Mayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin D. Erickson; daughter, Patricia Herrmann; son-in-laws, William Blamer and Robert Herrmann; grandchildren, Scott and Calvin; and her brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with Rosary Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10:00am with one hour of visitation prior to the Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church - 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church in memory of Margaret.
