Linda Rae Walker

Linda was born on March 21, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, to Raymond Oberley and Phyllis McKinney. She held the position of Store Manager of Save A Lot in Mt. Morris for 30 years until her retirement and was a proud lifetime member of the Eagles Club.

Linda was a loving individual who lit up any room she walked into and immensely enjoyed the company of loved ones and so many others in the community. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend to many, and avid keno expert, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking road trips, and socializing with friends.

Linda is survived by her three children: Victor Walker (Karen), Terri McLaughlin (Thomas), and Sherry Hamilton; grandchildren: Kristen, Ricki, Justin, Tyler, Cortney, and Britani; great-grandchildren: Braeden, Emmett, and Ember; and siblings: Gary Oberley, Bill Hill (Paulette), Kathy Reed, Alvin Oberley (Hanh), Randy Oberley, and Jeff Oberley (Jenifer). Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Walker; her parents: Raymond and Phyllis; and her sisters: Linda Hill and Nancy Reed.

Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. If you would like to honor her legacy, please consider a donation in her name to the ASPCA or Fraternal Order of Eagles.

A committal service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, Michigan.
