Leona Vivian Auker

St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Larry Burk officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday

from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Leona was born

December 9, 1913, the daughter of William A. Barber and Flora C. Hodges of

Grand Blanc who preceded her in death. Leona graduated Grand Blanc High

School in 1931 and Eastern Michigan University in 1933. She was a member of

South Baptist Church. She married Grant Auker in 1933.The couple had one son,

Eldon L. Auker. Grant and Leona started the first automobile auction in Michigan

around 1948. Grant and Eldon began building and land developing in 1952. They

went on to develop several subdivisions and plazas in the Grand Blanc area.

Leona continued to work until her death. She still had rental properties that she

managed. She is survived by three granddaughters and their husbands.

Kimberlee and Sean McVey, Andria and Chris Tykocki, Adrienne and Brent Keller,

and nine great- grandchildren, Evan, Dillyn, Allison, Emma, Grace, Noah, Jonah,

and Julia. She was preceded in death by her husband Grant, her son Eldon, her

daughter in law Jane McCollough, and her grandson Creg. In Lieu of flowers

contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the

Grand Blanc Community Foundation.
