Laura M. Horton Pierson

11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Officiated by long time family

friend Rev. Robert Service. Graveside Services will follow at Green Corners

Cemetery, Hadley, MI. Cremation has taken place. Laura was born March

14, 1915 in Goodrich, MI. to parents Norris and Carrie (Lum) Horton. She

married Roderick Pierson of Hadley on September 28, 1934 on her parents

farm in Goodrich, MI. She was a former member of the Hadley Community

Church and current member of the Hale United Methodist Church. Laura

served as organist and pianist in both churches for a total of 50 years. She is

survived by her companion and care giver of 10 years, Norman Bowers;

sons Edwin (Enid) Pierson of Clinton Township, Roger of San Francisco,

CA; daughter Carolyn (Dan) Miller of Mesa, AZ; son-in-laws Lee Miller of

Davison, MI. and Roger Duncan of Goodrich, MI. 11 grandchildren; 15

great-grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Horton and Richard (Barbara)

Horton of Goodrich, MI.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in

death by husband of 63 years, Roderick; daughters, Loretta Miller and Mary

June Duncan; brother Carl Horton.
