It is with great sadness and my deepest sympathy that I write this. Joe was a great influence to me on everything that was respectful and good. In fact, he was one of the classiest guys I have ever known. Please accept my apologies for not being there, as I was too ill to attend. His passing leaves a deep wound on my heart.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Caballero family. So many memories of us fighters with Joe and my dad at the Eastside Boxing Center. Joe was a father figure to all of us, a sharp dresser, which is why we always called him "Elvis"! I will always have love and respect for Joe and his family and I am so grateful for the memories. God will take care of him and my thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.

Just wanted to tell you that i love you my tio joe and i will always miss you. You will be with me forever i love you. Rest in heaven till me see each other again.

Rest in peace Tio Joe. Thanks for all the stories, all the laughs, and all the great memories. Although the body is gone the spirit lives on through the memories you leave behind.
