John Joseph Delgado

John Joseph Delgado, age 87, passed away quietly in his sleep at home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born on July 10, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Joseph and Soledad (Cortez) Delgado. John proudly served in the United States Air Force as an air craft mechanic from 1948 to 1952. He later went to work for AC Spark Plug and retired after 35 years of service. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Jeopardy, football, and golf. He also liked spending time with and picking on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. John is survived by his children: Anita Delgado, Thomas (Stephanie) Delgado, Mary Delgado, Katherine Casey Delgado; grandchildren: Kristina (Scott), Jennifer (Brian) and their children Andrew and David, Terri (Aaron), Joseph, Clayton (Cortney) and their children Melody and Paisley, Regina and her children Eva and Kira, Rebecca (David III) and their children Tessa, Lindsay, and Oliver, Karli and her son Daniel; siblings: Guadalupe Isaguirre, Lucia Miller, Amelia Kuta; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Eva Delgado; daughter, Ramona Hampton; siblings: Victor Delgado, Charles Delgado, Catherine Bentoski. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 4-8pm, with a Rosary Service at 7pm. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the family.
