Janet Lee Larkin, age 74, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1942 in Flint to parents Ernest and Mary Pickard. Janet was a very crafty woman, excelling in sewing, ceramics, woodcarving, embroidery, and working on adult coloring books with her daughter. She also enjoyed gardening and canning, visiting Port Huron to watch the ships, travelling and camping, birdwatching, and especially going to the casino. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her daughters: Mary Larkin; JoEllen “Jodi” (LouAnn Hall) Morgan; grandchildren: Joshua Green, Samantha Jo (Drew) Fuller, Brianna (Jeremy) Corbett, Jeffrey Larkin; great grandchildren: Madelyn Fuller, Ethan Fuller; sisters: Ruth Ann Foster, Judith Olmsted; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Linda Gay. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Lawrence Larkin; siblings: Ernest Pickard, William Pickard, Jenni Roat. The family would like to give special thanks to Marcia Phillips of Compassus Hospice for her compassionate care and continuous love. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1pm at the Greater Flint Outreach Center (1114 University Dr., Flint). The family will receive visitors at church on Saturday from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
