Helen Ruth Nelson

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 94 years of age.

Daughter of the late Henry and Emma Schleiger, Helen was born on October 31, 1926. She married the love of her life, Edward Nelson, on March 8, 1947. He predeceased her in death on April 16, 2009.

Helen was a bookkeeper for her entire working career, which she very much enjoyed, until her retirement in 2006. She was an avid member of the Saginaw Wesleyan Church. Helen enjoyed her time attending church, watching football (especially her team, Nebraska), being in her yard, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by several children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family will greet guests from 12:30pm until time of funeral liturgy at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Oakwood Mausoleum, 6100 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw. Interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center St., Saginaw.
