Gloria Gean Summers

Gloria Gean Summers (Jeanne), age 73 of Flint Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Ascension Genesis Hospital. Jeanne was born on January 19, 1950, in Cape Girardeau Missouri to the late Lewis and Lois Fisher.

Jeanne was married to Edgar Summers in March of 1972 and gave birth to her only child Brandy on August 21, 1973. Jeanne divorced Edgar in October of 1983. She met her partner Darin MacDonald in May of 1990 whom she remained with until her passing.

Jeanne worked for the State of Michigan at MESC for a few years and then transferred to the Department of Social Services until 2009 when she retired with 32 years of seniority.

Jeanne loved animals, especially her own dogs & cats. She rescued many animals and helped them find good homes. She gave to numerous animal charities as well as wounded veterans.

Jeanne loved watching all types of sports, college as well as professional. She loved playing softball, bowling, hunting with her dogs, skeet shooting, and she enjoyed spending time on the boat at the lake with family and friends as well as just being in the outdoors.

Gloria is survived by daughter Brandy Summers, partner Darin MacDonald, siblings Debra Golombeski, LaDonna Wetzel, Richard (Rick) Fisher and many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lois Roberts (Lafferty) and stepfather Alvie Roberts, father Lewis Fisher and step mother Lorraine Fisher, sisters Natcha Linda Kingsbury, Davena Sue Burgess and brother Carl Bruce Fisher.
