Donna Elinore Duncan

Donna E. Duncan , age 95 passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Visitation 10AM on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dr. Jim Duncan officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc . Donna was born on August 18, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to the late William Jennings and Violet Elizabeth (Goheen) Roy. Donna was always full of life and ready to give family, friends, and even strangers a giant hug and big kiss. She enjoyed life and loved to entertain. Donna would find any excuse to have family and friends over to her house. When she married Tom Duncan she also gained three kids not too far from her age and she brought one young boy of her own. Together they added a beautiful daughter. It was a difficult task molding her new family and she was an expert at melting them together. They never used the word step-child, they were all one big family and that is true even today. Donna always had a smile and a kiss for you and was a source of encouragement. She loved having her grandkids in the kitchen. She liked to play games and strut around. Donna was well dressed and loved to dress up. She loved babies of all shapes and forms. In her final years at the nursing home, she was a love bug bringing cheer to both staff and residents. Donna was a Sunday School Teacher, Brownie Leader, Employment Counselor and the Social Director of her Senior Living Community.Surviving are her son, Jimmy Lee (Linda) Duncan; Daughter, Nedra (Dan) Bennett, Son in-law, Jack Rittenberg and Daughter-In-Law Mary Varner; Sister in-law, Mary Lou Roy, Grandchildren, Kevin Duncan, Keith Duncan, Michelle (Jacob) Gilbert, Susan (Heath) Baker, Jeff (BJ) Duncan, Traci (Ernie) Kidd, Tami (Steve) Meyers, Blair (Sherri) Bennett, Dani (Ken) Conley, Brad Bennett and Nola Millin. Several Great and Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; James Geurin, Tom Duncan and Ken Hagen, Brothers; Rodney and Vincent Roy, Daughters; Toni Rittenberg and Betty Jo Millin and son; Jack Duncan.
