Donald was born January 3, 1932, to the late Fred and Ellen (Lagerstedt) Clark in Flint, Michigan. In his spare time he enjoyed building things and making pottery and could be often found puttering in his woodshop. Following his graduation from Flint Tech High School, Donald went on to serve in the United States Army, after which Donald worked as an Tool and Die Maker for 41 years at AC Spark Plug where he was awarded the Maximum Suggestion Award multiple times - Award for Inventions. In April of 1957 Donald married Kay Mackenzie. They were married until August of 1987 the passing of Kay ( Mackenzie) Clark. In May of 1991 Donald married Del Thoroman. They resided in Burton until moving to Mesa, Arizona in 1994. For many years Donald and Del enjoyed their retirement traveling with the Sunland RV Club. He was a wonderful man who was loved dearly by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed by his loved ones.Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Delaphine (Thoroman) Clark; daughters Lisa (Jeff) Basinski and Julie Hennessy; grandchildren Steve (Riley) Basinski, Mike Basinski, Kelsey ( Kevin) Williams, Arron ( Mary) Sparks and Kylie ; brother John ( Johnny) Clark and sister Janet Clark (Boyd). Donald is preceded in death by his first wife Kay (Mackenzie) Clark and his parents Fred and Ellen Clark.A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
