Dayne was born on March 26, 1931 in St. John, Michigan and was a resident of Flint, Michigan. He served in the Korean War with the Army Division. He graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. Dayne's career began at GM as an accountant before becoming a realtor. He later opened Dayne Davis Reality until his retirement and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church for 55 years and a Rotarian for over 40 years.
Dayne was married to his beloved wife, Jo Kathryn Davis for 65 years until her passing in 2016. He adored his family, and enjoyed being active in church, traveling, skiing and sailing. He is survived by his daughters: Karen (Geno) Walker, Lynn (Robert) Donovan, Jillian Price-Warner, and Jayne (Steven) Gissiner; grandchildren: Dayne (Alexandra) Bartscht, Chelsea (Michael) Wottreng, William Donovan, Christine Donovan, Kathryn Gissiner, David Gissiner, Leigha Amick, and Sean Amick; great-grandchildren: Everly Bartscht, Magnolia Bartscht, and Harriet Wottreng; brother-in-law, Arden Irwin and his daughters Kelly Labbe and Margo Halligan; and all of his dear friends at RoseHaven.
Dayne was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Kathryn; his parents, Dayne and Helen Davis; and his brothers, Raymond and Dwayne.
At this time, the family has chosen to remember Dayne privately.
