Daniel Ray Meek

Daniel would often share his fond memories managing the skate shop at Flint's Ballenger park where he and his siblings learned how to speed skate. His passion for skating lead him to become a world champion barrel jumper. Dan dedicated 37 years working at GM's Flint Engine South where he made lifelong friends. His retirement landed him at his beloved golf course, the Flint Elks, where he remained an Elk member for 27 years and also became the course's prideful green's keeper.

Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Beth Meek. sons; Kyle Meek (Jessica), Chaz Meek, daughter; Kelsey Rogers (Frank), and grandchildren; Mason, Ava, Mazey and Lexi.

Preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd and Theodora Meek, brothers; David Meek and Donald Meek, and nephew; Noah Ward.

A memorial visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. A memorial service will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 1480 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. A rosary will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 3:00 PM, 1480 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made towards a dedicated tree planting in honor of Dan Meek's memory at the Flint Elks.
