Bruce James Richards, age 62, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Bruce was born in Flint, Michigan, on December 25, 1961 to Jay Richards and Janis Gustafson Richards. Bruce graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1980. On June 17, 1996, he married Valerie Bigelow Robertson Richards. He was employed by Atlas Cleaning Service. Bruce was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his wife Valerie; son Dylan Richards of Alpena, Michigan; stepchildren Amanda Robertson of Hutchinson, Kansas, Erin Robertson Smith of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Laura (Margie) Robertson of Chicago, Illinois and Matthew Robertson of Burton, Michigan; grandchildren Asher, Eleanor and Calvin Smith all of Grand Blanc, Michigan; and siblings Brian (Brenda) Richards, Kim Richards (Steve Ridley) and Karen (Rick) Wallis. He will be sadly missed by his little pug, Pearl.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Jay and Janice Richards of Grand Blanc, Michigan, grandchildren Theodore (Teddy) and Chloe Smith of Grand Blanc, Michigan and nephew Craig Richards of Grand Blanc, Michigan.
